A combination of OC and Risk, teams compete at stations to win “armies” which can be used to conquer the various regions of Israel. The regions have different values, Golan having the greatest value (number of points). The goal is the have the most points at the end of the game by conquering the regions (and thereby defeating other teams). All stations must be completed once before the team can repeat a station in order to get more armies. Headquarters closes at a set time, after which it is impossible to bring more armies to the war. Strategy: Can only turn in 3 armies at a time.

Objective

In “Get the Golan,” teams actively compete to earn armies and use them to conquer regions of Israel, aiming to accumulate the most points. The Golan region holds the highest point value. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Game Setup

Game Area

Designate a large playing area with clearly marked stations for earning armies. Establish a central headquarters where teams can turn in armies and track conquered regions on the map.

Rules and Gameplay

Teams

  • Formation: Divide players into small teams of 3-5 members.
  • Team Objective: Conquer as many regions as possible to accumulate points.

Earning Armies

  • Stations: Teams visit different stations to complete tasks and earn armies.
  • Task Variety: Each station offers different tasks. Teams must complete all stations once before any station can be repeated to earn more armies.

Conquering Regions

  • Map: Display a map of Israel divided into regions, each with an assigned point value.
  • Golan Region: Highest point value.
  • Using Armies: Teams use their earned armies to conquer regions by turning in army tokens at the headquarters.
  • Turn-in Limit: Teams can only turn in a maximum of 3 armies at a time.

Headquarters

  • Central Location: Teams go to the headquarters to turn in armies and track conquered regions on the map.
  • Closing Time: Headquarters closes at a set time, after which no more armies can be turned in for the rest of the game.
