Four players at a time: ace, king, queen and jack. Each one is located in the corner of a square. The ace starts and needs to hit the ball with his open hand and must make the ball bounce off the other’s square. The person who receives the ball has to do the same with another square and so on. If a person misses the ball or the ball goes out of the square, that person falls. When someone fights, everyone moves up one place. Now another person can enter the game instead of Jack.

Game Overview

Pogo is an exhilarating ball game that challenges players’ agility, coordination, and reflexes. With its fast-paced gameplay and strategic ball movements, Pogo offers an engaging experience for participants of all ages.

Game Objective

The objective of Pogo is to keep the ball in play and avoid missing or letting the ball go out of bounds. Players must use their open hands to hit the ball into other players’ squares, keeping the ball bouncing from one square to another in a predetermined sequence. The last player remaining in the game wins the round.

Game Setup

  1. Creating the Squares: Use tape to mark four squares on the ground, with each square corresponding to one of the four players: Ace, King, Queen, and Jack. Ensure that the squares are large enough to allow players to move freely within them.
  2. Player Positions: Assign each player to one of the four squares: Ace, King, Queen, or Jack. Players should stand in their designated squares before the game begins.
  3. Ball Placement: Place the ball in the Ace’s square to start the game.

Gameplay Rules

  1. Starting the Game: The Ace begins the game by hitting the ball with their open hand, aiming to make it bounce into one of the other players’ squares.
  2. Passing the Ball: When the ball enters another player’s square, that player must use their open hand to hit the ball into another player’s square, following the predetermined sequence (Ace ➔ King ➔ Queen ➔ Jack ➔ Ace).
  3. Continuing the Sequence: Players must continue hitting the ball into the next player’s square in the sequence. If a player misses the ball, hits it out of bounds, or fails to hit it into the next square in the sequence, they are eliminated from the game for that round.
  4. Rotation: When a player is eliminated, all players move up one place in the sequence. A new player can enter the game to take the vacant Jack position.
  5. Winning the Round: The last player remaining in the game wins the round of Pogo.
  6. Restarting the Game: Start a new round of Pogo by returning the ball to the Ace’s square and beginning the sequence again.
