Everyone needs to pair up and one becomes the camper (pref. the smaller person) while the other becomes a tent. You all form a circle with the tents standing up holding the arms up high forming a roof, while the campers sit in front of them cross-legged. The leader shouts out “Campers”, they have to go through the legs of the tent and run around the circle and back under the legs till they are back where they were. Last one is out. The leader shouts “Tents”, they all run around till they are back where they were. Last one is out. There is to be no pushing and no overtaking unless it’s outside the slower runner.

Campers and Tents is an exciting and active game designed to get everyone moving and working together. In this game, players pair up to form “campers” and “tents” and compete in a fun race. The objective is to avoid being the last person back to your original spot, with players being eliminated in each round until a winner is determined. This game is perfect for groups of 10 or more players and is suitable for ages 12 and up.
Game Setup
- Pair Up: Players should pair up, with one player becoming the “camper” and the other the “tent.” It is preferable that the smaller person is the camper.
- Form a Circle: All pairs form a circle. The tents stand up with their arms raised high to form a roof, while the campers sit cross-legged in front of their respective tents.
How to Play
- Start the Game:
- The leader will shout “Campers!” to begin the game.
- Camper Round:
- When “Campers!” is called, all campers must crawl through the legs of their tent and run around the outside of the circle.
- They must return to their original spot by crawling back through the legs of their tent.
- The last camper to return to their spot is out of the game.
- Tent Round:
- When “Tents!” is called, all tents must run around the outside of the circle.
- They must return to their original spot and form the tent position again by raising their arms.
- The last tent to return to their spot is out of the game.
- No Pushing or Overtaking:
- Players are not allowed to push others or overtake unless it is outside the slower runner.
- Elimination and Winning:
- Continue alternating between camper and tent rounds, eliminating the last player back each time.
- The game continues until there is only one camper and one tent left, who are declared the winners.

- Fair Play: Encourage fair play and respect among all players.
End of Game
The game ends when only one camper and one tent remain, who are the champions of Campers and Tents.
