Outpost is a strategic and exciting team-based game in which players capture flags from the opposing team to score points. Game Rules
Objective
Capture flags from the opposing team to score points. Flags without stars are worth 100 points, while flags with stars (held by generals) are worth 1000 points per star.
How to Play
Divide into Teams
Split the players into equal teams and provide each team with their own colored flags. Each team designates a few players as generals, who receive flags with stars.
Starting Positions
One team starts in a designated room where they cannot see the other team. The other team starts outside the room.
Prepare for Play
The team outside the room hides their generals and prepares for a surprise attack, while the team inside the room waits for the game to start.
Initiate the Game
Signal the start of the game using a bell or another device.
Capture Flags
- Players attempt to capture flags from the opposing team.
- When a player captures a flag, both the captor and the captured proceed to the leader keeping score.
- The leader records the points based on the captured flag’s value.
- The flag is then returned to the captured player.
- The captured player counts to ten out loud, allowing them time to escape before being captured again.
Hiding Generals
Teams continue to hide and protect their generals while attempting to capture flags from the opposing team.
End the Game
Signal the end of the game using a bell or other device.
Scoring
The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Variations
