Game duration(Mins):

First, everyone finds someone and plays basic “Rock-Paper-Scissors” with them. Then the loser attaches themselves onto the winners by grabbing their shoulders like a “train”. We are going to call that pair “team A”. “Team A” then finds another team or pair (Team B) to verse. If “team A” beats “Team B” then “Team B” has to attach to the back of team A’s train. That group verses another group and so on eventually every group in the room is attached in one big dragon and they make a loop around the room. It is not really as confusing as it sounds. A prize can be awarded to the person at the front of the dragon.

Objective

Form the longest dragon by playing successive rounds of Rock-Paper-Scissors and adding members to your team.

Setup

  1. Players: Minimum 12 players. No maximum limit.
  2. Age: Suitable for players aged 9 and above.
  3. Space: A large open area where players can form a line and move around.

Rules

Initial Pairing

  1. Each player finds a partner.
  2. The pairs play a round of Rock-Paper-Scissors.

Forming Teams

  1. The loser of each pair attaches themselves to the winner by placing their hands on the winner’s shoulders, forming a “train.” This pair is now “Team A”.
  2. Team A (with two players) finds another team or pair (Team B) to play against.

Merging Teams

  1. Team A plays Rock-Paper-Scissors against Team B. Only the front players of each team participate in the game.
  2. The team that loses attaches to the back of the winning team’s “train”. The merged team retains the name of the winning team.
  3. The new larger team then seeks out another team to play against.

Creating the Dragon

  1. Continue the process of playing and merging teams until all players are part of one large train.
  2. Once all players are connected, they form a “dragon” and make a loop around the room.

Ending the Game

  • The game concludes when all players are part of a single train.
  • A prize can be awarded to the player at the front of the dragon for leading the longest train.

Additional Notes

  • Ensure fair play and sportsmanship throughout the game.
  • Adapt the game rules as needed for the space and number of participants.

Safety Considerations

  • Ensure the playing area is safe and free of obstacles to prevent trips and falls.
  • Players should not pull or push aggressively to avoid injuries.
