Set boundaries. Throw a dodgeball in the middle and all players are on their own. If hit, a player must go outside the boundaries. If the player who hit them gets hit, they are back in the game. Only way to win is to eliminate all other players in the game.

Objective

The goal of Dodgeball Free-for-All is to be the last player remaining in the game by eliminating all other players.

Setting Up

  1. Set Boundaries: Mark a clear play area using cones, chalk, or any other markers. Ensure the boundaries are large enough to accommodate all players.
  2. Place the Ball: Place a dodgeball in the center of the play area.

How to Play

  1. Starting the Game: All players start from different positions within the play area. The game begins with a signal (such as a whistle or shout).
  2. Gameplay:
    • Players aim to hit each other with the dodgeball.
    • If a player is hit by the ball, they must leave the play area and stand outside the boundaries.
    • Players outside the boundaries can only re-enter the game if the player who hit them gets hit and leaves the play area.
  3. Eliminations and Winning:
    • The game continues until only one player remains within the play area.
    • The last player standing is declared the winner.

Additional Rules

  1. Boundary Rules:
    • Players cannot step outside the boundaries while in the game. Doing so results in an automatic elimination.
    • Players outside the boundaries must remain out until they are eligible to re-enter.
  2. Fair Play:
    • No intentional physical contact other than the dodgeball is allowed.
    • Respect and sportsmanship are essential for an enjoyable game.

Safety Tips

  1. Use a Soft Ball: Ensure the dodgeball is soft to minimize the risk of injury.
  2. Monitor Players: An adult or responsible person should monitor the game, especially with younger players, to ensure safety and fair play.
  3. Warm-Up: Encourage players to warm up before starting the game to avoid injuries.

Game Duration

The game typically lasts between 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the number of players and the speed of eliminations.
