How do I choose the right group game?
Start with three questions: how many players, how much time, and how much energy? Use the filters on the All Games page to narrow by group size, duration and cost, or answer the three questions in the Game Finder on the homepage. As a rule of thumb, open with a short icebreaker, put your highest-energy game in the middle, and end with something calm.
How many games do I need for a one-hour session?
Plan three to five games for one hour. Budget the listed play time plus about five minutes per game for explaining rules and setting up. Our Session Planner adds this up automatically: add games with the + Plan button and it totals the estimated time for you.
Are all 391 games free to use?
Yes — every game in the library is free to read, play, and print. Many need no equipment at all, and each game listing shows the approximate cost per person when materials are required. The site is sustained by optional premium training resources and recommended board games.
What are good icebreaker games for people who have never met?

Which games work for very large groups?
Filter the library by group size 50+ to see games that scale to hundreds of players — many of ours have been tested at international camps with more than 6,000 participants. Rainstorm, Evolution, Grouped by Numbers, and Everybody’s It are proven crowd-pleasers at that scale.
Can I save games or build a program for my event?
Yes. Press ♥ Save on any game to bookmark it, or + Plan to add it to your Session Plan, which totals the running time and prints cleanly to take with you. Everything is stored privately in your browser — no account needed.
Can I submit my own game to the database?
Absolutely — we love game submissions. Use the Submit a Game page to send us the name, group size, duration and instructions, and our team will review it for the library.
Do the games include safety guidance?
Games with known risks include safety notes in their instructions — soft ground for contact games, spotting for trust exercises, supervision for water games. As the facilitator, always adapt rules to your group’s age and ability and inspect your play area first.
