How to play

The Fruits is an exciting game where each participant joins a group and embodies a fruit. They either stand in a straight line or lie down. When the announcer calls out a fruit, the corresponding participants run around the group. The first participant to reach the starting point earns points for their group, while the last to reach the starting point gets eliminated.

Actionary

A mash-up of Pictionary, charades, and sculpting. Prepare a list of guessable words, split the group into teams, and give each team paper, pens, and a tray of modeling clay. Each round, one player per team comes to the leader, rolls a die, and learns the word plus how it must be communicated: 1–2 act it out, 3–4 draw it, 5–6 sculpt it. They race back and perform for their own team, and the first team to shout the correct word scores a point. Rotate performers each round; highest score wins.

Hot Seat

One player sits in a chair facing away from the board or screen where a secret word is revealed to everyone else. The group shouts descriptions, definitions, and desperate charades-adjacent clues — anything except the word itself or rhymes — while the hot-seat player fires off guesses against a sixty-second timer. Score a point per word cracked, then rotate the chair. Run it as a team-versus-team tournament for real noise. The best vocabulary game for large groups that own nothing but a marker.
