How to play
Lay a line of paper squares on the ground — one more square than there are players. Two teams stand on the squares facing each other, with the single empty square in the middle. The goal: the two teams must completely swap sides. The rules: you may only move forward, by stepping into an empty square or passing around one opposing player onto an empty square. No backwards moves, no passing your own teammates. One illegal move resets the puzzle. It's solvable — but only when the group stops shouting and starts planning.

Sack Race
Mark a start and a finish line, and give every racer a burlap sack or a sturdy pillowcase. Players step both feet into their sack, hold the top at their waist, and hop for the finish line when the race starts. Falling over is part of the fun — racers must stand back up inside their sack before continuing. First across the line wins. For big groups, run it as a relay: each finisher hands the sack to the next teammate.

The handkerchief
One person has to be the "boss" and stand in the middle with a handkerchief. The rest are divided into two teams and each one is assigned a number, so that said number is repeated in both groups. Next, the two groups stand at the same distance from the leader but in opposite places. The boss will say a number out loud and the two people with the same number, but team rivals, must run to pick up the handkerchief. Whoever takes it returns to his place, while the other person is eliminated. The first team to run out of players will lose. The more people there are, the more it spreads too.
