How to play

Kickball's big-gym cousin, beloved in schools. Bases are large gym mats, and any number of runners can stand on a base at the same time — so a whole team can pile up on second waiting for a big kick. Runners must circle the bases twice to score, doubling the drama. The fielding team gets kickers out by catching flies or hitting runners below the shoulders with the ball between mats. Three outs (or a full rotation of kickers) swaps the sides.

Everybody's It

The fastest tag game there is: on "Go!", every single player is "it". Tag anyone; anyone can tag you. When you are tagged, you sit down where you are. If two players tag each other at the same time, both sit. Seated players can still tag anyone who runs within arm's reach, so the field becomes a minefield. Last player standing wins. Rounds take a couple of minutes, so play best-of-five. A perfect energy burner before a longer activity.
